Guys from Tabletopminis have done first battle report: High Elves (Aelfs) vs Dwarves (Duardin).

I think the lack of points system means lack of game design. Clearly GW are relying on people to buy their wins with the most numerous or powerful models on the board. This has nothing to do with tactics. There is no flanking or rear charges so whats the point in out maneuvering the opposing army. Just may as well buy dragons and elite things, charge in, roll dice and win.
The battle report guys seemed to like it, but I wonder if the Duardin player will feel the same way once he looses another 10 times to a player because of the models on the table. What GW want is exactly what happened at the end of this video report: The Duardin player said how he would go out and buy more powerful units to help win his next game. If he wins then I am sure the Aelf player will then also go and buy more. There becomes an arms race that is expensive in real £ terms with a lack of tactics to using what you have to defeat your opponent.
I have only played a test game, so I can not really comment any further. These are just observations.
Idea: Why not use 8th points and % system for Age of Sigmar? Looking at the scrolls the hard, medium, weak are the same as in 8th. This could balance the armies at least.
