I'm bloody fuming.

Its been pretty much confirmed at this point that Knight Models are discontinuing their Marvel line in favour of Harry Potter and DC. Now admittedly this could be due to Marvel/Disney upping the price but their lack of comments and overall poor communication has been grating.

As a comic book fan and a gaming fan its dissapointing. Especially because it feels like a bait and switch with their recent DC line being heavily promoted using the shared rules. Knights Marvel line was one of the few that I would happily buy the entire range of and was doing so.

Now though, I'll paint what I have and be done. I was intending on giving the Harry Potter game a chance but It can rot now.

Most Stockists are messaging people letting them know that Knight has discontinued it. This is after weeks of silence from Knight, to the point of them banning people asking about it on FB.  We estimate an official response will be released next week.

Needless to say their FB Group is in uproar, a majority of people signed on explicitly for Marvel, not DC. Homebrews and Clix substitutes are possible but the game is effectively dead from a official release and support standing. Many say they feel 'geedubbed' and even their staunchest defenders admit the silence and lack of communication was a bad move.

Add in that this is the second big licence they've lost and that the game was barely alive for a year you get a mixture that many gamers won't want to get involved with.

I personally won't buy the few remaining models I need to 'finish' my collection due to not wanting Knight to have my money. I'm more interested in Northstar and Osprey and would rather invest in multiple cheap model vanilla skirmish games then get tied to a liscence that could get dropped in seconds.

Well, that would suck. You seem to be really into the game, so at least you can still play with everything you've got. Look to ebay to complete your collection and I'm sure any yet-to-be-sculpted characters will be tackled by 3rd parties.

Aye, my motivation to paint them has dropped right down. Might do some Wild West stuff next ? Who knows.

I am interested in Warlords new samurai game though and also (since its fairly cheap) might give Ronin a go as well. Grabbed Fistful of Kung Fu in the recent Osprey sale as well and it looks rather appealing.

I have Ronin, if you want to give it a read. Warlord's game looks nice and streamlined.

Finally finished my 28mm EW WW2 German army ! Designed more for the Battle of France they could also march into Russia at a pinch. They also have the odd bit of Late War kit since uniforms ran out so quickly they would often use the older ones.

These were painted a few years ago so arent to my current standard.

I've been a tad busy with work, partners and mothers birthday etc but managed to get a few bits done here and there.

I pre-ordered the Scrappers rulebook, Ospreys post apocalyptic skirmish game. That'll make good use of the Robot warband I bought a while back, also be good for This Is Not A Test (another post apocalyptic skirmish game I've got). Also ordered the first miniature for my AOS army. Yes AOS, I'm back on the GW bandwagon but warily keeping an eye out for any BS.

My projects atm are growing into a mountain but it gives me something to do in my spare time lol.

I've also gained an interest in terrain, partially because the club doesn't always have what I need and partially because its just nice.

Only miniature i've finished lately is this guy. Eye-Bot, he came with the robots and was incredibly cute so I had to base him up on his own. Decided on a K9 style paint scheme.

Next one up is Treecutter, I'm really enjoying painting these robots. They are very clutter free.

Thanks kindly, I wanted to do some Painting today but Man-Flu has struck alas 🙁 I've got a bunch of lates at work coming up though so I'll have some free time.

On the otherhand I can use the time to create a list 'o stuff I need to complete my projects.

Been a few months now since my last update. Life has been busy so I haven't had much of a chance to paint. Also limited space means I've had to think about my projects. Whats dead, ongoing, new etc.

Currently the dead projects consist of....

My Skraeling force for Saga, my Khador and Minions for Warmahordes, my Pirates, my Mars Attacks, Malifaux and Marvel. Some of these will be sold, others will simply gather dust until I feel motivated.

Ongoing consists of....

Frostgrave (mostly expanding the bestiary), Bolt Action Winter Americans, AOS Stormcast, 40k Imperium, Retro Raygun, Wild West, Post Apocalypse, Saga Normans and my Rumbleslam stuff.

New Projects.....

Looking at another Bolt Action force, all tank Soviets. Maybe Test of Honour as well.

Latest  things done...

Pinkie Pie, Rarity and Applejack respectively.  My MLP themed Deadly Divas team is coming along nicely. I chose to ignore most of the facial stuff due to my poor skills, I'd  rather not have the dreaded googly eyes.

Applejack is a beast, in Fistful Of Dices Royal Rumble she gained a tally of 4 ringouts all by herself.
