A four-game 1M gold tournament. After each game, casualties will reset and one player can take an additional skill.
Awards for:
Golden Boot: For most touch downs.
Golden Fist: Most casualties and KO's.
Golden Arm: Most successful passes.
Best Painted: Best painted team.

Ticket prices TBC. Probably around £5-8. All proceeds go to the RBL charity.

We have a limited number of boards, dice and templates. Players are encouraged to bring their own dice and templates. Players bringing their own boards are very welcome.

You must use the Blood Bowl Competition Rules, and may field the new teams, available here.
Each coach should bring with them a printed version of the rules, at least pages 1-23 and 63-68, and their completed roster. Players and teams should be named.

Facebook Event.

Starting at 9am and finishing at 6pm there will be a Blood Bowl gaming mini tournament on Saturday 21st May

Need to know numbers fast as must sign up ideally prior to the day so an organised 4 games each can be known.

You will need a 'preferably' painted blood bowl team and to know the rules fairly well as the games will be timed to get 4 each in time frame.

A painted team adds +1 to your fan factor. Also without a painted team you will be unable to win the main prize or the other game awards. Standards are minimum of reasonable base-coats (not primer!) and basing just needs to be better than plain black plastic!

Main Prize for: Winning most games unsurprisingly! What else.....   (with a painted team I might add)

3pts win /  1pt draw   /0pts   lose

Attendees:

  1. Kev - Ogres
  2. Juck - Chaos
  3. Ben - Humans
  4. Ole - Norse
  5. Ross Mackintosh
  6. Darren Watson - Skaven
  7. Richard Horton
  8. Rob

So rules:

Usual starting amount of gold.  I think this is 1,000,000 gc

The team will remain the same in all four games except for a skill advance for one selected player after each game being able to select a skill/mutation (normal race allowances apply).

Can never be same player twice for the skill advances.

Deaths and casualties are all healed between games.

No gold earned and no players added between games.

The above rules are to simplify between game team management as there is only a skill to select then start playing again.

Also every player basically faces the same team giving a fair four games.

No special play cards, (again keep things simple).

Amazing speed.

I think this is the perfect opportunity to finish my half painted Chaos. Basic money should only be 11 men for me and that's the perfect project

1M, ouch. Going to be tough to fit an elf team into that. Will have to see if I can make something I like else it will be the Norse again.

Should fun either way though!

Hmm, not that bad. Forgot Elves have reasonably cheap(ish) Linemen. Although it will only be an 11 player lineup. Might be possible though.

Ben, just a thought in case of a tie for first place.  Both players fight for real and then..... joking.

How about in a tie:

Each touch down = 1pt.

2x casualties (not KO) = 1pt.

This then fair for fighty and scory teams, or teams like Dwarves are screwed in tie break situation.

If still a draw then.....FIGHT.......

Should we have a list presentation prior to the day so that we can arrange the matches and not waste the first hour setting up games?

Also check if peoples lists are legal.

First tie-break is effectively the painted/non-painted question. Your system seems fine.

Lists should be submitted a week in advance. Draw the first games the night before, if you like, but use a Swiss pairing system thereafter.

Recording each game should be:

  • Team TD's
  • Team Completions
  • Team KO's Caused
  • Team Casualties Caused

Nice.

I saw someone asked about star players on facebook - i personally think it will be easier to play without them because its less skills to know about for the opponent. Not a huge issue as you cant buy many anyway, but I would say with base starting money they are not allowed. Should just make it easier

(Im happy to accept if someone plays gobos or halflings then they can, but not worth promoting)

Google it for details, but it essentially pairs players with similar total tournament scores, giving fairer match-ups.
