Photographing Your Miniatures

My fiancée and I have just bought a new DSLR camera, so I’ve been looking for good guides to taking better photos of my miniatures. I’m pretty happy with what I can turn out already with my Panasonic DMC-LX5, but it is always good to try to learn more and I know our new Canon 750D gives me more headroom for improvement. Many of the guides out there cater for using your phone and can be a bit crap. The best article I found was over on Massive Voodoo, in two parts. The camera settings discussed aren’t transferable to your camera phone, but the information on lighting is very useful, regardless of your equipment.
I will bring the camera and lighting down in a couple of weeks to take photos of your favourite miniatures for the website.
